Edward Smith is a former Special Forces soldier, ultramarathon runner, entrepreneur, and performance strategist with over 20 years of leadership experience spanning military, corporate, and business environments.
Having spent the last eight years building and scaling businesses, SaaS platforms, growth agencies, and coaching programmes, Edward has worked with leaders, founders, and organisations around the world to unlock growth, improve performance, and overcome complex challenges.
Throughout his career, one lesson has remained constant: growth never happens inside your comfort zone.
Today, Edward is focused on building ASCENT — a community and movement designed to help ambitious business owners, leaders, and operators push beyond perceived limits, embrace challenge, and achieve extraordinary results. Drawing on lessons learned from elite military service, endurance sport, entrepreneurship, and leadership, he combines practical experience with proven performance principles to help others discover what they are truly capable of.
His mission is simple: to create experiences, expeditions, and a community that challenge people to think bigger, lead better, and become the strongest version of themselves.
